Welcome Home, Heroes!

I had the privilege of photographing a homecoming for two Air Force families the other night. It's always so emotional and exciting to see servicemen and and women come home.

Braves on Track

The 2010 track season started last week. Bountiful hosted Woods Cross, and Parker competed in the mile. His friend Cubby finished in 4:38 and Parker was right behind him at 4:39.  Parker was disappointed that he didn't beat his personal record of 4:38.71....but he was close and did great for the first outdoor meet of the year.

Love Ya, Sista!

Sometimes my favorite shots from a session are the outtakes...

It's always fun photographing Maddy, Libby and Penny...and usually they are most excited about getting their picture taken when it's their sister's turn! :)

I did want to get a shot of all of them together, so I asked them to get in the chair with Penny. As you can see, Penny was not exactly thrilled about that idea. I love the way Libby is being a little Mommy to Penny.

As you can see, Penny felt much better when she was able to have the chair and camera to herself. :)

Maddy and Libby wanted to pose for a couple of shots while Penny was getting ready. In the last one, Maddy insisted on showing off her pencil. :)

Aren't they the cutest? :)

Lucky Penny

Penny turned six months old today...just in time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. She was so adorable at her photo session today! Big, huge smiles and the cutest expressions! Her sisters Maddy and Libby wanted to get into the act a couple of times as well. The weather was perfect, too. Must have been the luck 'o the Irish today. :)

Elder Lindsay

Hard to believe, but in the next few months, my neighbor Kyle will be leaving on his mission. He was so excited to come to my house the other day for a photo session. (Well, maybe excited is a little too strong)...Anyway....he came. :)

Here are some of my favorites from his session. Can't wait to find out where he's going!!

District Spelling Bee

Alex competed in the district spelling bee the other night. He ended up making it to the third round, but then got out on the word "docility". I don't think I would have spelled that one right, either.

We are so proud of him. There were kids in 4th through 8th grades who qualified for district. He was one of only two 4th graders.

I think he's kind of relieved that now it's over.

Here are some shots from the bee.
