It's first day of school eve....I can hardly believe it.
The summer seemed to fly by in an instant.
In some ways that's good because Nate comes home from his mission on Tuesday!
In some ways that's not so good because the first day of school always represents another milestone that tugs at my heartstrings. It's fun and exciting to see my kids grow up, but it's also a little bit sad.
Parker begins his senior year tomorrow. Mallory will be in 8th grade. Alex will be in 5th. Just six days after he gets home, Nate will be back at BYU.
Life is great, but it really does come at you fast!
But before we move onto the first day of school, here are some shots from our San Diego vacation to help you savor summer just a little bit longer.
Derek, Alex, Mallory and Parker on the pier at Mission Beach.
Mallory twirling on the pier....enjoying the California sun.
Alex befriends the pelican statue.
The view from our condo window.
Alex, me, Mallory at Point Loma.
Parker showing how much fun he is having at Point Loma.
Alex dressed up like a member of the Mormon Batallion.
