Over the weekend, leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints dedicated the Brigham City, Utah Temple.
This was an exciting event for me because I grew up in Brigham City. I attended Central Elementary School, which was torn down in later years. The school property stood vacant for quite some time, and then in 2009, it was announced that a temple would be built there.
I have had the opportunity to travel to Brigham City and visit the temple grounds a number of times recently. An open house took place for about a month prior to the dedication, and I attended that twice -- once with the young women in my ward and once with my family. On another evening, I had a photo session in a town near Brigham City, so I made sure I had time to stop and take some pictures of the temple.
And here they are! It is still so incredible to me that this beautiful building stands now as the most prominent feature of my lovely little hometown. :)

My brother and family went last weekend also. Love the night shots.
Gorgeous! Love the night sky in the last shot. Last time I was in Utah in the spring we stopped in BC; lots of construction still going on. I'm going to Utah again in October; maybe I'll be able to get a session in here.
Very pretty.
Beautiful church! Love your night shots!
