Losing My Marbles

Today for Cub Scouts, we worked on the requirements for the marbles belt loop. The boys had a great time learning the rules of Ringer, then practicing their skills and finally participating in a game. They did great and will receive their marbles belt loops at our next pack meeting. Yay!

Tempe is 2!

I had a fun morning session with Tempe today! She turned 2 a couple of weeks ago. She was the first to get to try my latest ugly chair purchase. Of course she was thrilled! I took a ton of shots. Here are a few of my favorites!

Run Like the Wind

Parker's been busy with Cross Country meets the past few weeks. I haven't posted any pictures yet, so I thought today would be a good day to do that.

Today the course they ran had lots of hills and it was hot outside, so it was pretty tough. Parker hung in there, though and came in 5th overall.

One more lap past the garbage dumpster and you're home free! (I like this shot...wish the dumpster wasn't there...too lazy to clone it out!)

By the way, Parker and I will be running this Saturday in a 5K to benefit the Davis County Down Syndrome Foundation. As is usually the case, I will see him at the starting line, then he will quickly speed out of view, and I will see him when I cross the finish line. As I arrive at the finish panting and sweating, he will be standing there not even breathing hard. :)

Three Cheers!

I had so much fun photographing these three girls. They're cousins and all either have been or are now cheerleaders, as well as student officers. Their moms wanted shots of them in their cheerleading outfits and school sweaters. The girls were so fun to work with, and as you can see SOOOOO photogenic! At the park, they even attracted the attention of a little 3-year-old girl who came and asked for their autographs! It was adorable. Lots of pictures today. When you have such great models, it's easy to take lots of shots!

The Spiers Fam

I did a family photo shoot with Derek's sister, her husband and kids when they were in town for Nate's farewell. We had a lot of fun.

You may have noticed a new feature on the left side of my blog. It's the Elder Evans update! I'll be posting updates from Nate when we receive letters and e-mails from him. I was one happy mom when I saw a letter from him in our mailbox today!
