He Asks..She Says Yes....{Proposal on Temple Square}

The other night, I was able to do something new and different...Something I'd never done before.

I was able to capture a wedding proposal. And not just by accident. I was hired to do it.

The hopeful groom-to-be contacted me and wanted me to lurk around inconspiciously and capture the moment when he popped the question. His plan was to take his girlfriend on a carriage ride around Salt Lake City,  walk around Temple Square afterwards, then propose in front of the temple.

It was a lot of fun stalking them and trying not to look like I was staring...when really I was...:)

It was dark...very, very dark....so some of these images might not be the best in terms of technical details. But they capture the moment and will hopefully be something they will treasure for years to come.

After the actual proposal, we did some posed shots, too.

Oh, and she did say yes, by the way. :) That's probably obvious from the pictures!

Brooke + Sean {Together Forever} Part 3

Sean and Brooke's wedding day was beautiful. Our spring weather had been very rainy, but that day, it was sunny and gorgeous. The flowers all over Temple Square were at the height of their beauty. The colors and varieties of flowers were breathtaking.

Add a happy, gorgeous couple to that and suddenly the photographer's job becomes very easy.

Temple Square at Christmas

Yes, I know Christmas is over. (I even took down ..most... of my decorations this week).
But the Christmas season is always so busy with kids' choir concerts, Nutcracker rehearsals and performances, shopping, decorating, eating....that I didn't get around to posting these before Christmas.

So, you get to enjoy the season just a bit longer, thanks to me!

If you've never been to Salt Lake City at Christmastime, you should definitely come. You can even stay with me (if you want to help shop, attend choir concerts, Nutcracker performances, wrap, decorate and eat).

Temple Square is a sight to behold, with hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, life-size nativities, glowing luminaries and crowds so big you can hardly make you way through the place. (Ignore that last one. Really the crowds aren't THAT bad. Plus, all that body heat helps stave off the cold).

Anyway.....here are some of my favorite shots from our family visit to Temple Square this year.

Christmas on Temple Square

Temple Square is definitely one of the most beautiful places ever -- especially at Christmas. Here are some shots from our recent visit there.
