Lizzy + Aaron {Bountiful Temple}
It's official! Lizzy and Aaron are married. It has been so fun to work with this couple through engagements, bridals and finally the wedding.
They were so cute and all smiles...despite the fact that it was FREEZING!!!
I dare you to look through these pictures and not smile. :)

My {Soon-to-Be} Missionary Son
I took Parker and his friend Dillon for a pre-mission photo shoot last night. Parker leaves May 23 (yes, that's soon!). He will be serving in the Mexico Cuernavaca mission. Dillon leaves in June for the Micronesia Guam mission. I still need to edit many more photos, but here is probably my most favorite!
How can you not smile looking at that happy face?

Brett + Kristy
About a month ago (has it been that long?!) my friend Janae was photographing a wedding at the Bountiful Temple. Since I live nearby, she said I was welcome to come and do some shots for fun. It was a beautiful October day...not too cold, and the noonday sun cooperated and stayed behind the clouds for the most part.
I think I confused just about everyone on both sides of the family -- since no one knew who the heck I was. Finally the bride asked Janae if she knew me. It was pretty funny! :) Maybe I should just show up at random weddings and start taking pictures. I'd been doing it for a good 30 or 40 minutes before anyone said anything. Great way to build that wedding portfolio, huh?
The best part about shooting weddings for fun is the fact that there is no pressure. I felt more at ease trying shots and angles that I might otherwise hesitate to do. So, here are a few favorites, from me....the wedding stalker. :)

Top of the Temple
To all my POTD friends, I'm actually on theme today!! The theme is working with textures, isn't it? :)
I've been taking so many people pictures lately, when I was trying to think of something to photograph today, I had a hard time. I'm out of the non-people-picture mode, I guess. I drove up by the Bountiful Temple and did a few shots there.
Then, I ran a couple of actions, added some texture, a soft light layer...and here's the finished product.
What do you think?
