It's Still Winter?!!

I figured I would finish the week with posts today and tomorrow of more winter scenes.
Now that I've posted these, the snow seems to have a blue cast. I should have paid more attention to that in RAW!

My 7-year-old helped my husband clear the snow the other day. My husband was using the snowblower and my son used this little red shovel. I love the red against the white snow.

My neighbor across the street has the most beautiful flowers in her yard in the spring and summer. I guess the only flowers I can smell today are the fake ones on this sign!

This statute is in my neighbor's yard, too. Looks a little forlorn and frozen right now. Her flower basket is full of snow!

CC always welcome!

Oh wow! I love that first picture of the shovel. I really wish we would get just 1 good snow here this winter.

Snow gets really ugly after a while, doesn't it? We've had snow on the ground since early November, and -- while I think it's beautiful AT FIRST -- it does get old.
Can't wait for your neighbor to have REAL flowers back in her yard! :)

That red really does pop against the snow (even when it's a touch bluish). I still think they all look great.

very fun! a guy down the street from me has a sign that reads "free snow... shovel all you want!" I may just have to go take a picture of it now!

Gosh I just love your pictures!!! That second one is hilarious, but the first is my favorite. LOVE the color and position of the pitch fork!

Loving the shovel picture. The color and composition- with the footprints leading away, too. I really like it.
I like the irony of the second and third, but that shovel pic is just fab.
The bit of background at the top distracts me a little... but I'm easily distractable :)

all of our snow has melted...but, should be more soon!

btw- i might try lightening these a tad in photoshop--to make the snow more white---these have a bit of the bluish tint to them...I get that too...:)

These are so fun, Meg! The 3rd one makes me laugh--it looks like she is trying to blow the snow out of the basket. The red shovel REALLY pops, and the angle is great.

I'm with you...I love that red shovel against the snow. Like the way the shovel fills the frame and the way it's tilted, too.
