Signs of Spring

It seems like this has been a long winter. We've received tons of snow, which I know is important for our water situation in the summer, but I'm really ready for warmer temperatures, blooming flowers and green grass! Looking around outside today, I noticed some little signs of spring! Yea!!! I tried some textures on the second and third shots. I'd love to know what you think. CC is always welcome here!

Thanks for looking!

BUds, buds, and more buds! Love the brave little croci poking their way through, and the POV on the hyacinth is really neat--looks like the nose cone of a rocket. You can almost feel those leaf buds on that branch swelling. Very neat. Hurry spring!!

Love signs of spring. I love the winter but am getting cabin fever with a two year old. Can't wait for the warmer weather. I really like 2 and 3. The textures work really well and they are just nice a subtle.

I love that first shot for some reason. Soft colours in the background maybe. Very nice.

I love the last one and the hint of texture, and the emergence of spring! I didn't realize that in Utah there'd be such signs already!

The first shot is beautiful - the brokeh (sp?) is so creamy. You've posted some really special photos this week.

I am loving all your pictures! I really like the bagpipe picture of the kid playing them. I think I would have submitted that one to the photo challenge. Just my opinion. The piano ones are pretty sweet too. I can see one of those framed above your piano, seriously! Love your flower shots too! I am so ready for spring!

Hurray!! Spring!! These are awesome! The second one is my favorite... something about the new beautiful flower among the leaves... It's like the shedding of the old skin and budding of the new. Beautiful!

I thought out there in Utah you were as buried with snow as we are. Guess not! Love seeing those signs of spring.

Love the crocus shot....it just says SPRING to me! Gorgeous color and composition. I do wish the vignette around the edges was a little less pronounced though.
