Squishy Sweetness

It's always so much fun to photograph newborns. Gotta love those tiny little ones! Today, I did photos of 10-day-old Johnny. Isn't he the cutest little thing? He was a little less than thrilled about the experience, but he hung in there! Here are a few favorites.

Tyler -- A Little Hero

The other day, I had fun meeting and photographing Tyler, who is part of the Littlest Heroes Project. He was so adorable and loved his little toy guitar. You can learn more about The Littlest Heroes Project by clicking on the link on the left side of my blog.

I posted some shots yesterday of Tiffany from her senior photo shoot. I just had to post these today. She's probably my best jumper yet!

The Finish Line

Parker's cross country season came to an end today. He and his team ran in the state meet. It was a great race for Parker, who had set a goal of running the 3-mile course in under 18 minutes. He finished in 17:59.4! He was thrilled he achieved his goal. He came in 2nd on his team...just .2 seconds ahead of the 3rd place Bountiful finisher. And even more exciting was that in the final stretch, Parker passed and finished ahead of one of his former junior high teammates...who until today, Parker had not been able to beat. In Parker's words, "It was an epic race today."

...And they're off!

Go! Go! Go!!
Parker passes Dylan on the home stretch!

Parker's teammate Cubby came in 5th overall. I got this shot of Cubby and his dad posing for another camera.

Parker and his teammates after the race.

Shaw Family

I had the pleasure of photographing this fun family on Saturday. They have a huge yard next to some vacant property, so we found all kinds of fun places to shoot. Adorable blonde children, don't you think? Here is a sneak preview of a few shots.

My Girl

Mallory turned 12 on Friday! I can't believe how grown-up she is. Wow. She was so excited for her birthday. I told her I wanted to do some pictures of her on her special day, so we went down to Main Street and did a few. We were trying to get as many in as possible before the light was gone.
Happy Birthday Mallory! I love you!

Da Braves Are Going to State!

Woo Hoo! There was a lot of yelling, cheering and carrying on this week at the region cross country meet when the Bountiful Braves qualified for state! Way to go guys! Parker and the six other members of the varsity team will run on Wednesday. I'm so happy they will be able to end the season in this way. Parker lives to run and has had a great time running with the other people on the team.

The BHS varsity cross country team. (Parker's #9710 -- that really tall guy in the middle). :)

Parker (right) and his friend Cubby. Cubby came in 2nd in the region race. He is amazingly fast!

Parker sprinting for the finish line.

Coach Wiley. He's a great coach...always encouraging and supporting his team.

I was so disappointed I was clear across the field and didn't get a better shot of this. Two of Parker's teammates had just found out the scores and learned Bountiful had qualified for state, so they ran over to tell Parker. When I saw them take off running to find him, I knew there was no way I could catch up with them, so I just zoomed my lens as far as it would go and hoped for the best!

Nick is happy to be headed to state! He's also usually way more animated when I point my camera at him than my own children are.

Coach Wiley gets a little wet as the guys dump their water cups on him. They were nice and didn't dump the whole water cooler on him. I love the expression on Parker's face!

I'll let you know how the Braves do at state!

Helena -- 6 Months!

Helena came over today for her 6-month portraits. Doesn't she have the cutest little face? She is a pleasant little baby and has just learned to sit up, so it was fun posing her. I hadn't used my studio lights in a while, so it was fun to do that again! Here are a few of my favorites!
