Harvest Time

Well, the harvest in my garden is pretty pathetic. I really stink at growing things. About the only thing that did well this year were the pumpkins. I love to grow Jack B. Littles. They're so cute! And we grew a few jack-o-lantern-sized pumpkins, as well.

Here is a pile of our Jack B. Littles. I brought out the macro lens for today's shots.

A macro shot of the dried-up tendrils on a Jack B. Little.

This pumpkin had the misfortune of choosing to grow in between the wooden edge of the garden and the fence. He is wedged in there tight! Alex tried to pry him out today, but he wouldn't budge. But, he is the only pumpkin we grew that has a waist! Maybe I should say "she" instead of "he."

Alex carrying one of our full-size pumpkins to the front yard to put on the porch.

And here's a little sunflare that I captured just in the nick of time!

Edited to add: Oh, and because Becky noticed Alex was wearing shorts and wondered if our weather had changed significantly since my snow post... Yes, it has. The snow has almost all melted, it was in the 50s today, and it's supposed to be 70 by Friday! Mallory is really excited because Friday is her birthday! Yay!

Thanks for looking!

I love pumpkins! It's been a bad pumpkin year around here. Do the shorts mean you had a major change in weather since yesterday's snow or were these taken a couple of days ago?

Those baby pumpkins are so cute. Did you grow them from seed? I looked all over town for plant starts of those this year.
