Fire Station Field Trip Foiled!

I took my Wolf Cub Scout den on a fire station field trip today. What do you know, about 15 minutes after we got there, the fire guys (as our tour guide kept referring to himself and his buddies) had to go put out a fire. This happened just as we got done with all the "sit down and listen to Fire Guy Brad tell us about fire safety". We were heading to have a tour of all the cool stuff (the real reason Cub Scouts like to go the fire station) when the alarm sounded.
So, we got to watch the fire truck drive away. It was pretty exciting to hear the sirens and have the fire guys wave at us as they left. We timed them, too. It took two minutes from the time they got the call until they left the station.
There goes the fire truck!

What a neat lesson, though, for the boys to see what really happens when a call comes in, and how quickly those firefighters move. I think they'll remember this much longer than a conventional trip to the firehouse.

So classic! Did you use an action on the first shot, or is that your own mix? LOVE it!

Bummer, but seeing real guys prepare to leave sounds cool to see. Did it seem much slower than on TV? Love that last shot especially.
