The Handcart Days Parade is a big deal here in Bountiful. The die-hard fans (not me) can be found spending the night on the streets to stake out their spots. I arrived a little before 5 a.m. the day of the parade and found I couldn't even aquire a curb spot for our whole group. We had to make two rows. Yes, people are serious about their parades around here!
Despite the fact that the temperatures reached 100 degrees that day, we still have a grand time.

Oh how fun! Love the shot of everyone with their little fans!
Gotta say, when I scrolled down and the clown photos popped up - it startled my son (never a fan of clowns) - looks like everyone on your end was enjoying themselves (despite clown phobias or heat)
I was a slacker and didn't make it to the parade this year so it's really fun to see it here on your blog! And as always your photo's are amazing!!
Looks like a great time!
These are fantastic!
Love parades!
I love me some bagpipes, and men in kilts! Those ladies had some awsome petticoats, too!
Love the clown shots! They are so fun and colourful! :)
Oh my 5am?? It was worth it though, such great street shots! I love the vibrant colors of the clowns.
Looks like a fun parade! I love seeing the fans, gives a feel for the heat. Also, the clown's face in the second shot is too funny! :)
