Just a Piece of Clay

Every year, the 3rd grade puts on a production using marionettes they make themselves. Alex's teacher invited parents to come today to help the kids make their marionettes. Of course, I brought my camera. Alex loved forming the clay for the head, hands and body of his marionette. His marionette is going to be Wilbur Wright of Wright Brothers fame. I love the boots that Alex made...check out those laces.

Next week, the parents return to help paint! So stay tuned for the next step in the marionette-building process.

Oh that's very clever! Look at his intensity in making the little marionette.

I love going to my son's Kindergarten class and helping out. But with a 3 year old and a 9 month old... it's very hard to find the time.

Love your new look! I also loved your t-shirt back shots....I need to write some of those down for football season next year. It's weird, I can see that post on google reader, but not on your blog. The puppet looks cool too!
