California Day 2 {Point Loma, Tidepools, San Diego Temple}

More fun in the California sun. Sunday, we went to church, then headed over to see the lighthouse, Cabrillo National Monument and tidepools at Point Loma, then over to the San Diego Temple and Mormon Batallion Monument.

We went to a lecture about life in the 1500s, and Alex was thrilled to be able to dress up in chain mail and other armor/weapons from that time period.

Oh, love these! Several years ago Rick and I and some friends went to SD for Thanksgiving--we were all empty-nesters and decided to do something different. The best part of the whole trip was the temple. What a GORGEOUS one!!! Alex makes an awesome warrior, by the way.

Your trip looks so fun (boy am I glad my son never came across the chain mail attire - or it would still be packed in the keepsake container --- the boy loved his costumes). And then the temples - oh my goodness are they breath-taking gorgeous.
